A green arrow above something means take it. A red warning flag means clear it or avoid it. Three of a city's five skills opens its exit gate, and the Mentor Booth banks two of them for one right answer.

Clear these barriers

Press X to throw an item at a barrier — it clears, and you get the counter-move for it. Jumping on one will not work, and touching one costs a crown of confidence. Refill your reserve from the Skills Kit crates along the way.

Shortcut: find the Mentor Booth early in the level. Answer its question correctly and two of these five skills are banked on the spot.
